Mission 99: Mini Kyoichiro (作戦 99. ミニ凶一郎, Mini Kyouichirou) is the ninety-ninth chapter of Hitsuji Gondaira's Mission: Yozakura Family.
Taiyo finds a young Kyoichiro when he wakes up and explores how his family have grown up over the years. His character is much different to how he is now, what changed him?
Summary[]
Taiyo is woken up by a young Kyoichiro who asks him if he married Mutsumi. Taiyo screams out of shock and Mutsumi comes in with a spiked bat ready to save him. Mini Kyoichiro greets her which put her in shock and she screams too. Mini Kyoichiro explains that he must have accidentally taken some medication that made him revert to his younger self, he figured it out by looking at the surroundings when he awoke. To Mini Kyoichiro it's as if he travelled to the future, he starts complimenting Mutsumi after seeing how she's grown up, this leads to her crying and hugging him. Futaba enters the room after hearing the commotion, Mini Kyoichiro starts complimenting her and she shrugs him off. However, she starts getting soft after hearing more. Mini Kyoichiro runs off to see the rest of his siblings, Taiyo runs off to watch over him and Mutsumi tells him to make sure Mini Kyoichiro doesn't go to the garden forest which he agrees to.
Mini Kyoichiro starts complimenting Shion which causes her to break down, being unable to handle all the praise. Shinzo starts crying up a storm after meeting Mini Kyoichiro, who compliments his growth. Kengo dresses up as poop to entertain Mini Kyoichiro, though he doesn't pay much attention to it and compliments Kengo on his design. Nanao grows his body to hold Mini Kyoichiro up high, Mini Kyoichiro is happy he can speak to Nanao as Nanao is happy at how cute he is. Mini Kyoichiro hugs Goliath saying how he hasn't changed at all. He then plays cards with Ai and Ayaka, stating how he and Ai are both the same age (6).
Night falls, and Mini Kyoichiro goes to sleep with Taiyo in his bed. He asks Taiyo if Rei is dead, after seeing her grave from inside thanks to his good eyesight. Despite Taiyo trying to keep it hidden, he saw the gravestone and Rei's flower. Mini Kyoichiro says how he had a feeling that the family would run into trouble (after seeing how Momo acts), and as the eldest sibling, he'd need to step up. After seeing baby Mutsumi, he had the desire to make sure he'd be strong enough to protect her. His desire for strength began to scare him as he felt it messing with his head, after seeing everyone's reactions today he knows how he becomes unpleasant in the future and is ready for that despite his fears. Taiyo comforts him by saying how he becomes a very strong and dependable sibling and how everyone has faith in him. As Mutsumi's husband he's there to support too, Mini Kyoichiro thanks him as they fall asleep,
Kyoichiro is back to normal as he wonders why he fell asleep, not remembering anything that happened the day before. He lays in bed with Taiyo's foot in his face, he decides to wake up Taiyo by attacking him with his Steel Spider. A while later, he's playing cars with Ai, Ayaka and Goliath and the rest of the siblings laugh at him. He mentions how he remembers nothing from the day before, but is feeling well now. Mutsumi helps patch up Taiyo after his attack.
We cut to Momo Yozakura, as he plays cards with the cutouts of his children as he acts as if they were real. A hidden voice asks him why he's in a good mood, Momo replies saying how he'll be meeting his treasures very soon as he holds up the cards with pictures of the Yozakura siblings.
